At that time, pre-shipment controls were only carried out by certification companies. The staff of these companies were not specialized in shrimp, they checked shipments of a multitude of products, could check loads, verify quantities, but determining the quality of the shrimp was not one of their competences.

European importers were unsatisfied with the service provided by these companies. They needed a specialized service that could meet their expectations and ensure compliance with their standards

In 1992, to fulfill this need, Sudamar was created to offer quality assurance services.

We are currently the leading and most experienced company in Latin America for quality control and quality assurance services. Our head office is located in Ecuador, but we are present in all shrimp producing countries from Mexico to Peru.

Our main goal is to be facilitators to help processors achieve the quality standards required by our customers.
